This abstract poster is inspired by a wind band piece entitled "Moth" (think symphony orchestra without strings), which was initially inspired by a poem of the same name by Don Marquis. Composed by Viet Cuong , I loved playing it with the Brooklyn Wind Symphony with its rich, velvety textures and intensity.
"It is better to be happy for a moment and be burned up with beauty than to live a long time and be bored all the while."
I created this as part of the Great Discontent's 100 Days Project.
